A faint breeze floated through the crowded public market, blending the scents of cinnamon and flowers together in a fragrant perfume, and spreading it throughout the busy stalls. A young man, barely more than a boy, held his head up, sniffing the sweet tinged air, as he bought a bouquet of flowers. He smiled, thanking the shop keeper, and handing her the money he owed, the scent of beauty on a fair Spring day dancing all around him. "Hello!" a small girl giggled as she tugged on his green T-shirt. The boy smiled, and patted her on the head, moving on through the crowd. "What are you doing?" the little girl asked, catching up with the young man once more. The young man smiled down at her. "I'm going to give these flowers to a very special person." the old boy answered back, showing the little girl the seven white roses he had bought. "Why?" the little girl asked, sniffing the white blooms, laughing as the petals tickled her nose. "Because, I want her to know how I feel about her." the boy answered, standing up straight, looking out across the sea of people, taking in the scene. "Are you sure?" the girl asked, her face turning serious. The young man looked down at her questioningly. "Yes, I am. Just who are you?" he asked, looking down at her with concern and suspicion written across his face. "Kaiyo! The Little Girl of the Sea!" the girl sang out, her voice sweet as a silver bell in an ocean breeze. The young man's suspicion still did not disappear. "I really must be going, and I am sure your parents are looking for you." he said, brushing back into the crowd, his thoughts brightening once more at the thought of his beloved. "I don't have any parents, Heero Yuy, you killed them. But it wasn't your fault, you are to pure." the girl whispered to herself, disappearing back into the crowd, following the scent of the sea, back to her grave........
