Y'all come on in! I'm so glad you stopped by. Let's share a glass of southern iced tea and "talk food" for awhile. There are many excellent recipes indigenous to the south. Just like the Italians, southern food is also regional. Of course, I've not come close to scratching the surface here but you will be able to savor a sampling of the foods we are so famous for.

Now, if you started a diet yesterday this is not the place to explore. Some of the recipes are chocked full of pork fat and/or sugar but after all, that's where the real flavor comes from. Thank goodness for Emeril! His favorite phrase is "pork fat rules" and you can believe him for it truly does. You just need to use the sense you were given and not try to live off of it or you will die by it. :)

In Sweden, a buffet is called a smorgasbord but in the South it's called a "Groaning Board" for obvious reasons. When you have sampled all the delicious fare offered, all you can do is groan with pure pleasure...
