the pictures you view here are very small due the fact that I scanned most of them from slides. plus... i'm really bad at naming stuff... so don't make fun of me. anyway, the pictures found here are from my senior year in high school, when i get some pictures taken of the work i'm doing at college i'll slap 'em up here :)
HIGH SCHOOL ART: computer art: "hand with paintbrushes" (I've won some awards for this one) "medical collage" it's actually supposed to be poster size
pencil/charcoal/pastel drawings: "myself in my own way" my favorite self portrait I've ever done (and I've done a LOT.. trust me) "flowers in a vase" don't ask me what kind of flowers they are... I don't remember "gesture compilation" they're gesture drawings of people... I like drawing people "hands" three drawings of my left hand... I love to draw hands, but no one ever wants to hold their hand still for that long... I guess they get a cramp or something :) "man's back" umm, it's a naked man's back... I feel awkward when you sit in front of the nude model... they stare at you "untitled in pastel 1" a self portrait done in pastel pencils "untitled girl... aka that picture with the scary eyes" not very many people liked this one :) it's creepy "shoe" it's a shoe... nothing else, just a shoe
water color/acrylic paintings: "katie in water color abstract" my second favorite self portrait... everybody like this painting... it's huge though "leaves" a water color of leaves with a colorful background "prom queen #1/4" one painting from a series I did, they were all just different types of girls dressed for prom... this one is my favorite "round headed girl" i became a laughing stock over the name of this painting "sunflowers" it's a water color of sunflowers "katie steals andy warhol's style" it's another self portrait... it looks like a warhol silkscreen. "yellow roses" i actually sold this painting to a company in Michigan called "conway express" "lady's slipper" it's a flower painting... I have a thing for drawing and painting flowers, it's the only thing I'm good at :)
