"Living in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania is an inspirational experience. The reflection of autumn foliage on a forest stream, the lush green mountains or Canada geese on a mill pond. The beauty of this environment helps me create a painting with fresh sharp color or a pastoral scene of soft pastel shades."
I owned Pocono Craft Studio and Creative Friends Gallery in E. Stroudsburg, Pa. for 17 years, and was owner of the Golden Gull Gallery in Gloucester, Mass. at the entrance to Rocky Neck artist colony. I have been painting for over 35 years and I am experienced in oils, acrylics and watercolor. Painting in a loose, impressionistic style using drips and spatters to paint landscapes, seascapes and colorful florals.
I teach acrylic landscape classes at the local Vo-Tech school, Pro-Art in Stroudsburg, and Wildlife and Landscape Workshops at the Monroe County Environmental Nature Center. I have exhibited in juried shows including Featured Artist 1993 at Bethlehem Music Fest, Bethlehem City Hall Rotunda Gallery, Marywood College Contemporay Gallery, Buck Hill Art Association, and the State Theater in Easton, Pa. Solo shows include the Dutot Museum, Neglia Gallery, and the Ashley Scott Gallery.
Recent awards for 1999 are Best of Show at Art Across the River; 1st place acrylics Pocono Mt. Art Group at Dutot museum; and 2nd place painting at Celebration of the Arts Jazz Fest in Delaware Water Gap; and 3rd place Watercolor at the Monroe County Arts Council Members Show.
I am past President and currently Historian for the Pocono Mt. Art Group, a member of the Monroe County Arts Council, and Buck Hill Art Association. Currently represented by DR's Framing and Gallery in Designer Crafts, Pro-Art in Stroudsburg, Crystal St. Cafe in E. Stroudsburg, and Wildlife Expressions in Tannersville, Pa.
