Over the Falls :: March 7th, Rasputins, Ottawa
...in a barrel     Updated: April 26

On March 7, 2003, Rasputin's Cafe in Ottawa was packed to hear a slate of artists perform an evening of songs written by Susan Beyer.
The night was called Over the Falls...in a barrel, after a line from one of the songs.

Each artist selected or was given one or two of Susan's tunes to deliver in their own way.
It was the first time in Rasputin's 22-year history that one songwriter was given this kind
of opportunity (responsibility??).
Those who were there called the evening "phenomenal", "glorious and wonderful" and even "magical".
The evening was taped and a live CD of the evening will be available in the fall.
For now, here are the colour pictures, taken by Susan's sister Shirley Beyer.
