Susan Beyer
wrote her first decent poem at the age of 8.
Since then, among others things, she's been a freelance journalist, a music critic, is an award-winning playwright, a writer of short stories and novels and a songwriter.
She first sang her own songs in public in November 1999.
Very quickly, her songs were included in compilation discs and other local artists began performing some.
"...an amazing songwriter...golden..." ~ Dean Verger, proprietor, Rasputin's Folk Cafe
" Excellent songwriting. A good ear. [Photographer] is very avant-garde, almost Punk, in a way." ~ David Wiffen, legendary singer/songwriter
"Her songs are an inspiration to artists and activists in Ottawa."
~ Yavar Hameed, oragnizer Artists Against War
"A whole whack of good tunes"
~ Terry Tufts, singer/songwriter/instrumentalist
She sometimes performs as
sometimes with a floating band
called the driftin' satellites.
