He began a new job as an insurance agent for Allstate. He liked to take his secretary to private lunches.
She landed a job as a waitress at The Tip Top. A certain Redi-mix driver came in to see her everyday.
They didn't have much to say to one another.
They both were sad.
They tried to recapture what they once had.
It was impossible. Too many bad words had crossed their tongues.
Six long years later they got divorced.

P.S.I bought those yellow cafe curtains at a garage sale. I hope I have better luck...fingers crossed.
