Antique
Damaru Drum
This
fine antique damaru drum dates from the 19th century and originates from
Mongolia. The measurments of the wooden drum are 4" in diameter and
3 1/2" in height. This antique drum can still be used for Buddhist
Vajrayana practice with skins that are tight and have a wonderful sound.
The strikers are in excellent condition as well.
The
hand embroidered tails measure 19" in length and include metal thread
embroidery on red silk which is backed by a natural color cloth.
Overall
this is a beautiful and rare ritual item and is a chance to own a piece
of Buddhist history. This particular damaru is one of the finest drums
I have been able to obtain in several years and a perfect choice for collectors.
