If you are ever so lucky as to find yourself in the Etruscian Room of the Louvre, look up. The Birds!!! Braque embraced the primitive way of painting rather than that of the Renaissance. The strong simple shapes here allow one to fully believe in the substance the artist wanted everyone to see.
