WRITERS GUIDELINES

Please read these guidelines carefully before sending us your manuscript.
We have increased our reading fee for longer manuscripts from non-subscribers.
Subscribers to WordWrights are exempt from the usual reading fees.

MANUSCRIPT REQUIREMENTS
Send all manuscripts to WordWrights, 1620 Argonne Place NW, Washington, DC 20009. Manuscripts must be at least five pages long. All manuscripts must be typed. The type must be black on white paper. Clear, high-quality xerox copies are acceptable. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable. Previously published works are acceptable. We encourage authors to submit short stories and articles no longer than 2,500 words. All manuscripts must come with a stamped, self-addressed envelope (S.A.S.E.). Please make sure the S.A.S.E. is large enough and bears enough postage for your manuscript's return (if return is desired).

AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY & PHOTOGRAPHS
A brief author biography, 100 words or less in length, and color or black & white author photographs may be submitted with the manuscript. Author biographies are printed in our About the Authors section for those authors whose works are accepted and published. Author photographs are printed either in our About the Authors section, and/or with the author's published work, and/or may be printed on the front or back cover of the magazine. Author biographies and photographs are REQUIRED of all authors accepted for publication. Please Note: Failure to provide the requested author biography and photograph upon acceptance of an author�s manuscript may result in delay or cancellation of the manuscript's publication.


ASSIGNMENT OF COPYRIGHT
An author whose manuscript is accepted for publication in WordWrights must sign and return a Page Proof Release and Assignment of Copyright Contract, provided by the publisher. All rights revert to the author after publication.

SUBSCRIPTIONS, BACK ISSUES, FREE SAMPLES
Subscriptions to WordWrights are $25.00 for 6 issues, $45.00 for 12 issues, $79.00 for 24 issues, or $300.00 for a Lifetime Subscription. (Lifetime Subscriptions include a free copy of each available back issue). Back issues of WordWrights are available for $5.00 each. A free sample copy of WordWrights is available upon request.

CHAPBOOKS AND BOOK LENGTH MANUSCRIPTS
The Argonne House Press ONLY considers chapbook manuscripts or book-length manuscripts from authors who have previously been published in WordWrights magazine.
