April 4th
It's been a while, hasn't it? The world is spinning right now, as always. So much to do and cope with. The last weeks have gone by fast. Strangely enough. Essay, propaganda research, women's history research, fixing the layout for two magazines, going through archives... and going through more archives and working my ass off. Today was like any other day, nothing overly exciting happened. I'm making plans to elope from the city for a weekend, to trespass Carola's domains. *BG* Watch out, Kristinehamn, here I come!

Something rather weird has happened this last month, though. My father actually asked me about growing up. This is the guy who was absent for the most time when I was a kid, and who always wanted a son first. Suffice to say he was deliriously happy when my younger brothers were born. I had a hellish childhood when it came to getting dad's attention. Years later I found out that my brothers had felt neglected too. We've been all been very bitter concerning dad and his neglection, but you can only carry a grudge for so long; it's a pity when forgiveness is shoved aside for hatred. Now we've established a good relationship with our father and he's constantly asking us about our childhood and our time in school, about all the things he never cared about then. Now he does, and I can see his eyes. So sad, knowledge of loss in them. We can never reclaim what was, we can only concentrate on tomorrow, and now when tomorrow is here, I can sit back and realize that he's been missed. He's always been present in our life. He just never participated in conversation or bothered to ask what our opinions are, who we are. Now when he cares and we're all adults, it's... well. It feels good. We have our dad back.

What's happening right now:
The damn internet's acting up again! Sometimes it works, and sometimes it just decides to be a royal pain and play dead. *grrr*

The first issue of the swedish Xena magazine is done! Valkyria is a great mag, that I can promise you. The editorial staff's one of the best I've had the privilege to work with. The content rocks. This is the kind of fan mag that you need. I'll drop the link to the webpage when it's up. Someday soon... keep yer eyes open. It'll be SO worth it!

Since I'll be going to Carola sometime this month, I've hit two birds with a stone and have bought both her Christmas present (finally found it! Yay! Searched the whole city for it!) and her birthday present. Now I'm just worried she won't like it. I should've gone for the dragon costume.

Some friends and I seems to be growing apart. It hurts, but what can you do? *heavy sigh*

A nice thing: Uploaded the Norse trilogy fanlisting!

What's happening right now with the site:
Xenario will be two years old next month. You can expect a major update then. *s*

The site might be moving soon. I'm looking for a good host with no ads. I've slowly been going mad over all the pop-ups that's been bombarding me and the site visitors. I remember a time a long time ago... when I got the site. One pop-up; and that could be worked around. But damn if A-fire shouldn't try and make some money. Heh. Cursed bloodsuckers. I'll keep you posted, either through the ADITL entrys or through mail (for those who want to know site news, etc.) The ideal place will have around 300-500MB and no ads. There should be no problem finding it. *s* I've checked out some hosts' conditions and features.

Links have been updated, walls are added, the uber calendar walls are updated (changed February -Redemption and April -Tiopa Ki Lakota). ROC interviews appear every now and then and the swedish fanfic writers grace Swefic with their marvellous stories. Carola and Christopher especially, this last month.

Since everybody seems to be making 'the making of'-stuff nowadays, I'll have such a thing up in a short while. *G* Beware; it will suck. Even if you're really curious.

Subopia's headed for a fixer-upper. Yep, the whole section will get a face-lift.

Some old walls may be fixed too.

Btw, for all Daily Scrollers (formerly Potidaean scrollers): Yes, this IS a subtext-heavy site. I'm glad you noticed. ;)

Uninteresting and boring stuff that's happened:

Nothing much. The Sounds' album "Living In America" runs 1/3 of the day in the stereo. Awesome album, actually. Positively reeks with attitude. I like that.

tATu will be singing the russian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in May. *LOL* Man, and I thought they'd realized that their little lesbian stunt was over after their little tete a tete with their boyfriends... I'm literally laughing my ass off at their attempts to revive the lesbian mysticism that once made them what they are today. Lesbianism is hot, lesbianism sells. That's the fact. More lesbians in culture! But real ones, please?
