About this generation problem , I think it is common,

everyone of us can imagine himself/herself as if he is in a very fast train (it is life and work) and you have to take that train because you need to reach a certain station (great goal such as gathering a lot of money ) this train may take you to that station but there are some problems
* Maybe it doesn't stop at certain station (dreams) or maybe don't give you enough time to have some rest in it
* The train is very fast so the land(age) passes very fast behind you
* Maybe when you reach the target station you find yourself very tired form that trip so you don't enjoy that target

so you have some options :
* when you have a chance you can stop at a station and have some rest and then take the next train but then you will be late.
* you can stop and take another train which can pass and stop at your dreams stations.

Maybe you will be lucky :
* The may train find a shortcut so you reach your goals early and not tired
* Some trains are civilized ,then it can give you enough time at your dreams stations .


That is my point of view .

for me :
my train is somehow ok ,
when I want I stop and take some rest and take the next train and I don't care if I became late or even took another one , my dreams stations are very important to me.

another point , I think other countries have solved this problem , people there work very hard but also they have their own time which make them feel happy
"Work when you work , play when you play".
