*The Visitor*

I heard a knock at my front door,
A softly sobbing voice;
I flew to it and opened wide,
And saw you standing there.

You were so small, a helpless child,
Presenting me with flowers,
That you held out to me so bright,
But then, they drooped and sorrowed.

Missi and a yellow rose

You reached for me and hugged me tight.
I gladly hugged you back,
Enfolding you in mothers arms,
Long separated, love reborn.
And tears of joy were flowing.

*In the Morning*

Early in the morning,
When the day is fresh and green,
I spread my arms like wings out
And rise above the plain

I soar then over brooks and fields,
Sail high above the trees,
Green branches reaching out to me
And beckon me to stay.

But I rise only higher then,
And glide through airy realm,
Refresh my soul and drink it in,
The cool, the beauty and the green.
