Combination of Tutorials:
Floral
Plate - by Jan's Designs
Curved
Text - by Deoris
(stupidly,
I'd forgotten how to do it) |
|
|
|
One of my Amazon sisters is celebrating
her two year anniversary with the tribe at the end of this
week. According to my calendar, that's the
"China" anniversary, so I decided to try this
plate.
While adding text, I realized I'd
forgotten how to do curved text, so I took my own tutorial
to create the top line. The bottom (oppositely curved)
text is actually done with just "effects - geometric
effects - circle" and voila. |

Ripple
Sig Tutorial - by Gie Gie's Web Graphics |

Had a few problems with this one, which
I'll email the writer about. You can't do this one
transparent, either, unless you don't do the back glass
mosaic, but I like that part. It was just an all-around
good excuse to use that font. LOL |

Animate
Water
by Coco Web Designs |
|
Had a great time with this one. The only
other water animation I knew used the smudge tool, and I
thought this was not only easier to control, but looked
better. |

This is David Boreanaz, aka: Angel. I
have been meaning to animate the water around him for some
time. So, thanks! My friend will be more than thrilled.
This is the little copy, she'll get the larger one. LOL |

Cutout
Effects
by
Moon's Designs |
|
This had one small confusing part, where
it asked to lighten layer 2 and layer 3.....there was only
layer 2. Before you "deselect all" promote
the floating selection to a layer. Problem solved. |
|
|
|
I chose this beginner one because it was
something I didn't know how to do. I use cutout a lot, but
for shading pictures, not text. Besides, selections don't
really teach a lot; once you've done one they're all
pretty similar, even if they are cute. And I use Front
Page to make my web pages, and couldn't code if there was
a monetary reward. |

Painting
a Sunset
by Art by Lyn |
|
Well, it was prettier once I used
"Flood" LOL But I liked it. Some good lessons in
that lesson. |
|
|
|
It's the Halloween bats, btw. I can't
draw birds, even little V ones very well. And these, that
small, worked great. Then I found the tube of the Eagle.
