'Bappy Riggett's accent was a challenge. Since it was a lead role and he had so many lines, I had to have an authentic Ozark/ Southern Missouri accent. A wonderful journey of development, I started with a West Virginia accent - modified it to Tennessee sound, then with Louisiana overtones I could transform and manifest it convincingly. Even at warm ups for rehearsals and performance this process was still apparent - though admittedly became a matter of minutes.'
Lawyer Riggett & Judge Kemper (Sean Childress)
Sean is a very versatile actor! There is a natural energy of friendship here - even offstage... one senses it when we come out... and yet we had to overcome this while on stage as we became fighting 'adversaries'!
