Name: Usually go by the name Majo-chan on the net these days...I actually don't have many other online handles. I tried calling myself kenshin no miko back in the days, but since there were a ton of other kenshin no mikos running around, I opted for something else.
Age/occupation: I'm a starving college student, attending an university. Enough said. (old enough to drive and vote but not to drink). Many people ask me about my major after looking at my art...Well, I can say that I'm not really going after the art major right now...Currently trying for economics actually. Hard subject too, but I like money^_^. Definitely not math. I suck at math.
Hobbies: reading, writing, drawing. A new hobby of mine is sleeping and coloring. I've found that I've developed a decidedly weird fascination with coloring. Since this is kind of a picture archive I guess it's obvious. And sleeping is a wonderful pastime.
Favorite anime: Slayers, Rurouni Kenshin, and various others. Currently on an Inuyasha, Hellsing, Full Metal Panic kick.
Fav. Manga: Most of CLAMP's works, Slayers, RK, most of Yuu Watase's works. Saiyuki (by Kazuya Minekura) and Weiss Kreuz are cool. I'm currently obsessed with Inu Yasha^_^
Skills: not web page building, obviously.^_^ I guess you can say I'm good at drawing and writing, occasionally.
Favorite Ice cream flavors: Ok, I know this is random, but I like orange sherbet the best...probably.^_^. Next comes strawberry and green tea. Now I don't know how Green tea ice cream goes with the other two, but I know that strawberry and orange sherbet together is just delicious...yum!(ok, I know I'm weird..don't need to rub it in...)
Favorite music: Usually J-pop, though there are some american artists that I like. I listen to a lot of music, end up hating some songs that are on the radio just because they're played over and over and over again...but I love the classical station.^_^. Currently listening to: Assorted english music. Stuff from Dido (Here with Me and Hunter), Celine Dion, Sarah McLaughlin, Alanis Morisette...

Art Related Things

Tools Used: mechanical pencil, any kind of eraser except the pink and art gum ones, ink pens (copic and whatever else I can get my hands on), Prismacolored pencils, watercolor pencils, screentones(very very rarely...), paints and watercolors, plain ol' ruler(also really rarely). And just recently, markers. Yup, I got myself some Copic Markers...the rest is history...(so is my money!^_^;)
Papers: Ooh...this is a fun one. I use...printer paper.^_^; Got a chance to use Manga paper this summer, because i bought some in J-town. Very nice quality, especially for coloring. Too bad I never got to do much with it..;_; I also use lined paper, paper that I take notes on, backs of paper that have been printed on (save the rain forests!), margins of papers, back of flyers, etc...
Mediums: Pencil, ink, watercolor, colored pencil, markers, paint. 1 screentoned pic so far...much to my dismay^_^;. CG (i.e. Photoshop) when I have the time. (I might be getting a tablet!^____^) I work with charcoal...but not very often, and not for anime styled art. It tends to get really messy.^_^
Things I want to Try: Now that I've tried markers, I want to get better at using them. Screentone's are still on the list, but I'm not in a hurry to try them again... Also better (ie neater and cleaner) ways of CGing. My way is too sloppy, but to color something cleanly my old way takes hours.-_-; Also eventually I'll get to working on a manga/doujinshi. Not sure which yet...but I figure I might as well try it, for the experience if nothing else^^;
Things that Inspire me: Artbooks, manga, good songs, good fiction, gorgeous fanart by Someone Else and any sort of important test (major essays work too). I'm not kidding^^;;
Muse's Current Obsession: Vampires, black leather, firebrands/red-heads (hence the myriad of Ashura pictures lately...), blonds (Thus, Filia and Frances), lemons, and Xelloss and Filia...
Miscellaneous Things (this IS a miscellaneous page, after all^_^): I'm NOT Japanese (nationality shouldn't matter in art...), I usually DON'T copy pictures (unless otherwise noted. I'm not good enough to copy pictures...;_;), most of this IS from my scary little brain (veryyy scary little brain. Not as scary as some others I've seen tho), and I've been doing it for a LONG time (7-8 years, to be slightly more precise)...So if you had the burning urge to ask: "Are you Japanese?" "Did you copy this pic?" "You came up with this!?" or "Damn, how long have you been drawing?", here are the answers.^_^
