The kamimortal sent a mind slave to  her. The next day, Canti enrolled in her school. Thus, starting their secret love affair. Canti doesn't like public display of affection and is respectful of Yugi and Anzu's other friends.

She went out on a date with Yami Yugi (to help find out about his past), and fought Mai for starchips so that Yugi could get inside Pegasus Castle. Anzu is the reincarnation of Teana, who lived in ancient Egypt with Pharaoh Atemu.
