Jo-chan's mother tried to escape with her daughter. But the soldiers found out the plan and pursued them. The child escaped but her mother wasn't so lucky. They caught her and beat her to her death. Jo-chan saw the whole thing in terror. A fear-anger filled her heart and grew.

    For centuries, Jo-chan wandered Japan. Many yokais chased her around for she was an avatar. Some kitsunes protected her from them, but mostly the child was alone.

    Jo-chan met Noiz and co. in an abandoned fort. Biko found her in a hidden room. At first, Jo-chan thought that they were the enemy. But Naoko and Noiz told her the truth. Now, Jo-chan stays with them. She sees Biko as a mother and calls her "Biko-mama".

Richard did all the work but she didn't active at first when he turned her on. As it looked, Richard had failed. But Saki activated later and saved him from an evil yokai. She met Noiz and co. with Richard. Now she helps Yuki and Biko around the house.

The father think Gypsy should have died as well. The illness causes Gypsy's left ankle bone to bend outward, causing her to limp. She kept having internal pains. Then at age ten, Gypsy went blind. At sixteen, she could see again. But another problem came along. Gypsy began losing her hearing. Now she's 15% deaf and it keeps growing.

    Gypsy met Noiz and co. on her way home from school. She sensed an oni and tried to run away. Noiz and Naoko saved her. Now Gypsy is loyal to them.

    She sees and hears the dead and nature.

    Soon, Setsuna and Ayame fell in love. They were together for thirteen years. Then fate would whip the kitsune in the back. A band of thugs attacked the couple. Ayame jumped in the way to protect her lover and died. Setsuna took revenge and killed the thugs. after her battle, the kitsune wandered alone.

    Soon, fate had another plan. Setsuna came onto a farm and found a young boy crushed under a heavy wheel barrow. She saved him by pushing it off with her back.

    However, they met again. Only, he was a grown man. Setsuna was walking through town when she came across a child crushed under a heavy wheel barrow.     But twenty-seven years later, another group of thugs hunted for the kitsune. They found her husband and killed him. Setsuna was heart-broken when she found out and swore revenge when she found them again. But for now, she could just wander again.

    Ten years later, Setsuna was laid out near death along the road. Then, a priestess came along and took care of her. Setsuna would return the favor five years later when the priestess' daughter, Jo-chan, died of an illness. The kitsune healed the girl by possessing her body. And Jo-chan's mom died, Setsuna protected her. And it's been that way ever since.
