Celtic Faeries and any other faeries by other names are spiritual beings in human form. They are usually depicted with butterfly wings or dragonfly wings. Faeries live in the Realm of Faerie in the Seelie court with the Seelie queen or the Unseelie court with the Unseelie queen. "Good" faeries live in the Seelie court and do not harm mortals. Though they might try to trick them. "Bad" faeries live in the Unseelie court and are known to cause mischeif and even harm mortals . Therefore, it is a good idea to leave a saucer of milk outside your back door as a tithe to the Unseelie court. They are the ones that cause failed crops and other small problems and large catastrophes. All faeries use the faery ring trick to make mortals dance until the morning. A Faery Ring is a circle of mushrooms that traps a human and makes them dance. The human will usually step into the ring at night and be forced to dance naked until the morning when some passerby finds them laying asleepin a field naked. Try to avoid Faery Rings! Seelie court faeries are good creatures that generally do not harm people. But beware of Unseelie court faeries!
