Karlovassi
Karlobassi
Karlovassi is the third port of Samos that gets little traffic, mostly the flying dolphins skirting
from island to island. During the summertime, it is popular resort, and in the
winter a quiet backwater. Part of the tourist draw is the picturesque beaches by
it, most notably Potami. The town also boasts the Church of the Transfiguration, which is a Dolls House like church high on a hilltop with excellent views of the coastline. The story I was told is that sailors found an Icon of the Transfiguration and built a church to house it. Anyway it is a neat church and defiantly sticks out.
