AN AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL EMAIL I SENT TO AN OLD COLLEGE BUDDY... HE ASKED ME "WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING SINCE 1974?" We went on a camping trip to hetch hetchy reservoir that year and I almost died in a mountain climbing accident. I slipped into the river and came very close to being swept over a giant waterfall to my death. He was the first person I saw when I climbed out of the river.
