Chapter 7 - The Scroll
The others set out to find the secret entrance. Everyone knows once its found, they can fight the mighty Ferciol.
Luc and the others enter a forest and Luc is lost in his thoughts. He hasnt noticed that the others have left him.
Luc: Huh?!
He races to follow, but finds that he is now lost. Alone, in the wilderness. and where no one could hear him. he pushes himself to go on...
Luc: I can handle this, no monster can withstand the wrath of my True Wind Rune.
As he continued to walk, he heard voices.
Luc: What the...?
He peered through the bushes and sees some people, they were talking of the battle at Toran Liberty Castle.
Guy1: Hey, have you heard the news?
Guy2: Yeah, lotsa monsters attacked the Castle.
Guy1: I heard that they were lead by some dude in black armor.
Luc: Black Armor?!
They hadn't noticed that Luc was listening, and continued to give information on the attack and they left soon after.
Luc: Black armor... Affinity with monsters... Yuber!!
As soon as he had mentioned the name, a cold hand perched on Luc's shoulder.
Luc: huh?........ *turns arounds*
Standing, was a pale, blonde haired woman...
woman: my name is Sarah....and I have read your
thoughts, yes Yuber is involved in this, the damn
b*s**** has betrayed us, he has left us to continue
his unending search for the true runes....Knowing of
Ferciol's power and influence, he has made a mutual
defense alliance with him.....Yuber now uses his
Eightfold Rune to summon monsters to defend Ferciol.
Luc: hmmm.... I see....
Sarah: as of now, Albert isn't here yet....
Luc: You seem to be willing to fight this Ferciol...
how about coming with me?
Sarah: Oh yes....I do want to fight him.....
Thank you for lending us a hand, we will be giving
our best assistance, for instance, Albert is an excellent
strategist, I will be of service whenever magic is necessary. A thousand thanks, sir...
Luc: ....let's go......
The GSG's search around the perimeter of the castle.
Frenzy looks around.
Frenzy: Guys! Where's Luc? He was with us a minute ago.
Jeane: He was here….now he's not! Now where could he be? Its too early to take it easy!! That slacker!!
Futch: Maybe he decided to go on his own.
Sora: Well, as long as he doesn't get into trouble! We've lost enough GSG's already!
A scout excitedly runs back to the leaders.
Scout: A horde of monsters are attacking us! And Houjun is leading them!!!
The GSG's stare at Houjun leading Ferciol's minions. Houjun releases an electric blast and hits some GSG's.
Futch: s**t!
Futch releases a weak shield to protect them.
The electric blast hits the shield and with its force Futch was thrown backward!.........
Sora: Futch are u alright??
Futch: Ill be ok!
then a voice was heard...."ahahahaha!!!!"
Dylan: that voice....he is the one who kidnapped Houjun!
then Houjun again releases his powers...aiming again towards the GSG's..
Sora: get down everyone!!!
The shot missed them.
Machi: Houjun!!!wake up!
They know that he was only being controlled by a dark Wizard, then a man in a black robe appeared.
Dylan: that's the one!!!!!
Wizard: ahahaha!!!!!can you fight ur own gsgs...ahahaha!!!!
Houjun headed towards them.
Flik: we cannot just let him hit us we must fight!!
Ayuki: i think he's right. He's now our enemy....we must fight him!
Suddenly from the darkness, a figure emerges.
Houjun shouts, "Attack!!!!"
Ferciol's army comes running at his command.
Flik calls his mercenary soldiers.......they form as soon as possible
then Flik says, "this is it guys....if we die we die with honor!"
then he shouts..."Attack!!!!!"
Flik,Chidori,Sora,Machi,Yuumi,Lorelai,Rei ,Ayuki and the other GSG warriors stood looking at the attacking monsters, they stood their ground and their swords raised, ready to defend themselves.
They knew Houjun wasn't a traitor, he was under the evil spell of Yuber and they felt sad they had to fight a friend.
The monsters reached their flanks and clashing of swords were heard. The ground began to fill with blood as GSG soldiers cut off the heads of their enemies. Some GSG soldiers also were wounded and medics were busy treating their wounds.
Surprisingly, no more of Ferciol's troops came to help these monsters so one by one the monsters fell under GSG's mighty swords.
A blinding flash came out of Houjun's hands and Ayuki and Yuumi were hit!!..... but not fatally.
Yuumi: Eooooow! My shoulder!
Ayuki: Arrrrgh! my eyes!!! I cant see!!!!
Rei,Sora,Machi and Flik ran after Houjun while Lorelai and the others kept fighting the remaining monsters.
Flik: He's heading towards those woods, go the other way and lets cut him off!!
Machi: Yes sir Flik!
Machi and Rei run to the other side hoping to catch Houjun.
Flik and Sora scanned the woods before them, they could have sworn they have seen Houjun hiding behind those trees.
Suddenly a hand touches Flik's shoulders and he yells!
Futch: Oh sorrrrrry, thought I could join you!
Flik: Dont do that again!!!
Futch: sorrrrrrry, sheeesh! lets go North, I think Houjun has gone back to Ferciol's castle and its that way!
Futch points northward.
They head towards Ferciol's castle.
Lorelai in the meantime cuts off the head of the last monster and as its blood spills, she spats at it."Pheeeew!"
Lorelai: thats the last of yah!
She turns towards the mercs . "Let's head for the castle. The others must be going there now! Medics take Yuumi and Ayuki back to base and treat them ....we shall go ahead!!"
Everyone lets out a triumphant yell and they follow Lorelai to look for Flik and the others.
Flik stops midway and points towards a hill.
Flik: That is a tunnel! That must be the secret passage! Yessssssss! ......you can't see it right away because its partly covered by bushes!!"
He hurries towards it and signals the others to follow.
At last, they can now enter Ferciol's headquarters secretly.
A surprise attack will do them a big favor!
Luc and Sarah are in a hurry to reach Harmonia. Sarah and Luc make their way up a steep mountain. They reach a village where they stop to rest.
Luc: I must catch up with the GSG's. I have to fight with them.
Sarah smiles at him "You have us. My army and I can help you."
Luc: What's happening with everybody? Kakurine and the other GSG's are still missing. If everyone is here then we have a better chance.
Suddenly, an old woman walks in and she stares at the two. She sits quietly at the corner eyeing them. Sarah and Luc become tense. There was something mysterious about her. They waited for her to make the first move.
Suddenly she tosses a scroll at the two of them and poof! she disappears!
They both stare at the scroll in Luc's hands- It says: "Look for the 3 rings and u will discover Ferciol's weakness."
Luc and Sarah realize this could lead to victory!
Sarah: This could finally help us win!
Luc: But what if it's a lie?
Sarah: We'll have to take the only chance we've got. Let's go now!
Luc takes the scroll and they take leave. But as they begin to continue their hike, they are attacked by a horde of monsters. They fight desperately and barely manage to fend off the monsters.
Then a man in black armor appears from the trees.
Luc: Yuber!!
Guy in Black Armor: No, I am not Yuber.
Luc: Then you must be Pesmerga.
Pesmerga: We have fought alongside each other, once or twice. But it has been a long while since we've seen each other.
Luc: Yes, I remember.
Pesmerga: You're after Yuber. Then I'll come along, you may have a better chance of finding him.
Luc: We'll see...
Sarah: I don't feel safe with him.
Luc: Don't worry, he's only after Yuber. Lets find the GSG's.
Luc, Sarah and Pesmerga continue on their way.
