So As evening falls they find themselves in a green valley and they take camp.
From afar Kakurine sees the glow of a bonfire.
Kakurine: that must be the other armies. We have to meet them before we reach Harmonia.
Flik: Yes noble leader! Should I send them a message?
Kakurine : Yes, send them a message. Call Futch, he's a good messenger.
Flik brings Futch.
Futch is given a scroll and a map.
Kakurine: Give this to Kulitkoh and Eilie and in the South are Chidori and her white wolves. Go also to the North and find the Zexen,Blue and Red Knights. Go as fast as u can!
Futch rides his dragon named Black and they fly off to give the message.
Futch completes his mission and stops for a drink in a nearby stream.
He is unaware of the looming danger behind him..........
Futch looks around and pats his dragon Black.
Futch wants to sleep becoz he's tired. He lies down beside Black and starts to snore! He is in dreamland.
But in an instant, he feels something holding him and he cannot escape! Something covers his head and he cannot move because he feels a rope tying him! He wants to shout for help but he cannot. Futch knows that he is in trouble!.........he doesn't know who his enemy is.
Machi with Falcon also rest and Machi wonders where the Keepers are.
She and Falcon fall asleep to wait for another day.
Suddenly Machi wakes up.
She hears a yell and she sees scary looking creatures holding a sack that's moving!
She doesn't know who it is but one of the creatures looks at Machi.
His red eyes staring evilly at her and it calls the others!
Machi runs to Falcon and rides away towards the bonfire.
As Machi sees Souleater and Yasunari, she screams.
Machi: There are scary creatures running after me and they caught something!
Souleater and Yasunari get their swords and some of their soldiers and they run to fight the creatures. They look horrible with hairy bodies,long ears,red eyes and big fangs!
Rei is the first to strike.
He cuts off the head of the creature and blood flows.
They are able to kill most of the creatures but three escape with their captive. They try to run after them but the creatures enter a tunnel under the mountain and the soldiers lose them.
They move on, not knowing of the eminent danger that lay ahead of their journey. Souleater and the others trudge through the soil until they reach a forest of unusually tall trees.
Someone hears slight chirping beyond the visible layer of leaves.
Souleater: "Birds?"
As they looked towards the canopy of trees, strange winged creatures had attacked them!
They rush to find refuge from their attackers, but then a slight breeze calms the creatures and then they just fell from the air.
They were sleeping, like little children.
Then from the trees, came Luc. And with him, very sad news.............
Luc: "Toran Liberty Castle has fallen..."
