The GSGs reach the courtyard and the soldiers scramble up the stairs to reach the two towers.
They storm thru the dark corridors, fighting every auraminion and guardians along the way.
Arrows fly and spears are thrown shedding most of the blood of Ferciol's minions. The dark enemy drops dead one by one as the GSGs charge to the towers.
Kibagami,Tir Mcdohl and Rei and the Imperial army reach a stairwell going down to the cellars.
They are followed by the Zexen Silver knights.
Upon the command of Yasunari and Kulitkoh they charge killing more creatures they encounter.
At the south wall of the cellars, Rury sees a sign: a yellow three thonged spear.
Rury: This is familiar.
Rury presses against the wall but it wont budge! Calling the help of the Zexen knights, they heave and push until the wall starts to creak.
It opens revealing a hidden tunnel!
Keitaro shouts to the other GSGs: We have found the secret passage!!!
The rest of the GSGs run down towards the tunnel.
Stealth and Miyu with their Red and Blue Knights hold their flanks waiting for Kakurine's signal. They have remained outside to guard against any invading outer forces of Ferciol.
Then from the 2nd tower, a large horde of Ferciol's Black Knights come charging at them!!
Stealth: Blue Knights! You all know what to do!!!
Miyu: Red Knights!!! Fight for honor and glory for GSG!
The Red and Blue Knights raise up their banner and swords and give their battle cry!!
Within seconds, the knights clash, the sound of metal swords clanging in the air, screams from wounded soldiers are heard as they fall from their horses. Spears fly and many lie wounded on the ground.
As the battle ends, more Black Knights lie slaughtered among their midst.
Inside the secret passage, the GSGs encounter a fork separating into two tunnels, they split up with Kakurine, Alvania and Soraya, Ayuki and her K.O.T.F. and Kulitkoh with her Zexen knights entering the first tunnel. Accompanying them are Rei,Luc,Houjun and Pesmerga. They carry with them the blanket of doom.
The White Wolves, Imperial Army, Kabashu, and his Knights with Sufulee take the 2nd tunnel.
While outside,Kurapik and her Dragon Knights cover the 2nd tower, exploring the area with their flying Dragons. They had slaughtered those pesky gargoyles but they were on the lookout for more.
Then they hear zinging!!!!
Arrrrrgh!,screams a dragon knight as he falls to the ground. Spikes cover his body!!!!
Kurapik sees a giant Porcupine at the top of the tower, aiming its deadly spikes at the GSGs!
Kurapik: Dragon Knights!! Kill that giant Porcupine!!!
The Dragon Knights fly close to their enemy, swooping down and throwing their spears. Some knights are hit by the deadly spikes and they crash to the ground below!
Suddenly, another zinging sound is heard but this time, it orginates from the ground!!
Kurapik looks down.
The Liberation Army with Souleater and Sarah's army is lined up at the north wall, their troops of archers were all aiming their fiery arrows at the giant beast. Two rows of stone catapults are lined up behind the archers, all throwing giant boulders at the enemy, doing great damage!
The beast cries out and falls dead!!!
As the GSG's search the tunnels, suddenly a cold mist envelops them and they all start to gag and choke!!
Ayuki: Poison gas?? aacck!
Then one by one, they drop to the ground!
In the other tunnel, The White Wolves along with the Imperial army and Kabashu struggle to escape the gas.
Clawing desperately at the walls, the GSGs manage to tear off the stones and make a hole where they all crawl out to safety! But...........
As they crawl out, heavy nets with weights fall on their heads! The mighty Guardians laugh as they round up the trapped GSGs.
Kurapik and her Dragon Knights continue to search the towers while the Liberation Army along with the Red and Blue Knights explore the outskirts of the towers, unaware of the approaching danger.
Eilie and the Dark Alliance are inside the dark corridors of the towers exploring every room, looking for clues.
It was strangely quiet and they all grew uneasy.
Ankoku: I have a bad feeling about this!
Nina Mikain: The feeling is familiar.
Connell: Yeah, remember Caldea?
But as soon as Connell spoke.........out of nowhere, a long reptilian tail grabs hold of his leg and pulls him down!!!
The astonished Dark Alliance watch in amazement as Connell is dragged thru the long corridor.
Arheis: Get Connell!! Kill that thing!
The Dark force run after Connell. It seemed the thing wanted Connell very badly!
As they round up the corner, the Dark Allies find themselves in a huge empty hall.
Tall marble pillars surround the hall. It is cold and empty.....foreboding is felt.
Eilie: Where is Connell?
"Helllllllp!" they hear Connell scream and right above them, hung Connell with 2 giant snakes entwined around him!!
They gasp as one snake swallows Connell alive!!
Angry about losing its meal, the 2nd snake slithers down the pillar heading towards the GSGs.
As they turn to run, suddenly they are surrounded by loud hissing! Looking up, entwined around each pillar, were giant black pythons, their glowing red eyes staring at them hungrily!
"RUN!" Eilie shouts, brandishing her sword. With one swing, she cuts off the head of the pursuing snake behind her. But before they could reach the door, the giant door slams shut!!!
The Scarlets who were in the rear of the tunnel following the rest of the GSGs see the cold mist approaching them and they turn to run.
Carbuncle: Run!! Its one of Ferciol's booby traps!
The Scarlets come out into the courtyard, coughing and choking. Souleater runs towards them.
Souleater: What happened?
Aki: Aaacck! Gas!!! it just started coming towards us!
Etoile: Where are the others?
Kitsne: We dont know. We did not see anyone in the tunnels.
Everyone looks at each other, worried.
