It was night--yes,
a night
that we shall
n'er forget;
It was night
when my love
and I first met.
We walked through
the sand dunes
hand in hand;
Watched the
tiny creatures
scamper through
the sand.
Blue waters
sparkled,
murmured sweet
lullabies;
The moon left
trails of silver,
leading to
the skies.
We dreamed,
made plans
in whispers,
awed by the
night;
And wondered
of our future--
stretching
out of sight.
