This painting was a final project for a basic painting class that I took last year. The point of the assignment was to draw inspiration from other areas of image making and apply them to our overall work. For this I looked to "graffitti art" as something undervalued in the artistic community. In addition it was a form of painting that was uncommon in Irvine or all of Orange County.
