"Vincent and Theo" oil on canvas 120cm x 80cm
Vincent van Gogh was my first artistic inspiration and remains one of my favourites. This is a tribute to him and his brother Theo, who encouraged and supported him all his life. Vincent always meant to paint Theo, but died before he could do so. So this is for you Vincent, together at last with Theo and your beloved sunflowers on the yellow chair that you painted to welcome Gauguin to the yellow house.

"Georgia O'Keeffe" acrylic on canvas, 120cm x 80cm
Gerogia's flowers were considered very provocative in their day, with their huge, lush presence. Audiences were either shocked by their blatant sensuality, or awed by the spirituality it was believed they represented. Georgia laughed at all this and said " I just painted flowers!" Go Georgia! Naturally flowers are both divine and sexy!

"Brett & Wendy Whiteley" oil on canvas, 120cm x 80cm
Whiteley is one of my favourite Australian artists. This image borrows from several interiors that Brett painted and includes nudes of Wendy, some of Brett's ceramics, and also a self portrait sketch of Brett . He died too young, and is sadly missed. |

"Pablo Picasso" oil on canvas, 120cm x 80cm
This ode to Picasso includes one of his muses with child. He painted so very many women, I just had to paint him!
