OASIS KNITTING GUILD OF ISRAEL About our Guild
The Oasis Knitting Guild began around seven years ago in the Sharon area, and has slowly grown to include nearly 20 members. Our diverse membership includes knitters from around the world who brought their love of fiber with them to their new home in Israel, as well as native-born "Sabras."
What binds us together is our love of all types of knitting: Fair Isle, Aran, lace, gansey, mosaic, intarsia, entrelac and more. We have members with all skill levels from beginning to accomplished. Our meetings include "Show and Tell," sharing newly-arrived books, magazines and yarn, as well as lively discussion of knitting problems or questions. Our meeting format has expanded to include workshops and demonstrations given by guild members and visiting knitters, as well as a charity knitting program.
Knitters visiting Israel should make sure to check out the links on planning your trip and local yarn shops.
