           FOREWORD

The kabazurna, the largest member in size of the zurna family, has a smaller employment area than the other folk music instruments. On the other hand, it is the primary instrument of Mehter music and folk dancing music.

The procedures to find out the difficulties in the manufacturing and performing of the kabazurna and to bring up methods helping to solve these problems are examined. Since there aren’t enough sources about the kabazurna, the methods for other folk music instruments are also studied and the opinions of related people are turn to.

In this study, there is a method about its performance in addition to the present and past situation of the kabazurna and new pages will be added as the pages get ready.

The importance of the methodology is accepted as an undeniable fact for the education system of all civilized countries and for their success. So, giving the education of the kabazurna in a method and systematic way is an inevitable need in our country. This site is a humble study for the aim to meet the needs of teaching and learning the kabazurna.
