Candy Candy is 10 years old and lives with her mom and dad in a large house in the country. They all love animals and have 3 horses, 2 dogs, 4 cats (at last count) and 2 rabbits. She has a little brother and an older sister. She is crazy about horses and she often enters riding competitions with her horse, Sunshine. Holly Holly is 9 years old and lives with her mother in an apartment in a large city. Her dad left her mom, when she was about three, and is now remarried to a lady with 4 children. She hardly ever sees them, though, because they live on the other side of the country. She loves her mom very much and they spend a lot of time going shopping and to museums and concerts and such. she loves music and has been taking piano lessons for the last two years and enjoys it very much. Rona Rona is 8 years old and lives with her aunt. Her parents were killed in a car accident when she was about a year old and her mother's sister took her in and has been raising her just as if she were her own child. Rona loves dolls and has quite a collection. One of her uncles travels all over the world and he always brings her one from the country he is traveling to. Mellie Mellie (short for Melinda) lives with her mom and grandmother in her grandmother's house. They used to have their own apartment but after her grandfather died last year, her grandmother invited them to come and live with them. She enjoys living in the big old house rather than a tiny apartment and has her own spacious bedroom and a large back yard to play in. Ellen Ellen is 9 years old and hates boys. There is a boy that lives two houses down from her and he's always teasing her and he's in her class at school, too. It's just terrible. Ellen has two sisters, both of which are older and lives with her mom and dad. One sister is 16 and is always talking about boys. Yuck. The other is 13 and she likes boys too.
