Shantelle
Shantelle works in a large department store in the women's fashion department. She doesn't make a very good salary but she loves her job. She loves being around clothes and she enjoys helping her customers find just the right outfit. She is working toward becoming a department manager by learning as much as she can and being the best employee she can be. Eventually she would like to become a buyer and is taking a correspondence course to help her learn more about fashion retailing. (Mesh c765) |
Sherri
Sherri works in her family's business, where she has been working since high school. She lives with her parents and has been saving her money to go to college, but it seems that something always comes up that she needs to dip into her savings. Then she has to put off going to college. Her parents depend on her to help them in the store, but the store just never seems to do well enough for her parents to do more than just get by. She's getting very tired of "just getting by" and has been thinking of just taking her savings and leaving home and work her way through college but she doesn't want to hurt her parents. Misty
Misty, at age 20, is the best waitress in the large restaurant that she works in. She has gotten waitress of the month for three months in a row. She is very good at what she does and makes excellent tips. And the best thing is that she loves her work. She makes more in tips than she does in her salary and she is saving as much as she can. Her dream is to buy a house and take in foster children. She herself was a foster child due to her mother's drug abuse. And now she wants to help other kids whose parents can't take care of them by being a good foster mom to them. (Mesh c783) |
Camilia
Camilia is 24 years old and a budding opera star. As a child she was always singing and when she got into junior high school her choir teacher saw her potential and told her parents that she could be an opera star. She helped them find her a teacher and the lessons began. In college she continued to study opera and she has now joined an opera comany and they are very excited to have her with them. (Mesh c753) |
Kim
Kim loves the outdoors and nothing better than the ocean. She has been a scuba diver for the last 5 years and an instructor for 2 years. She loves what she does and has also done some underwater photography. Every couple of years she travels to some far off country just to dive and last year she went to The Great Barrier Reef. That was a trip she'll never forget. Besides the fact that she had a great time, she met another diver whom she liked very much and has been corresponding with him ever since. (Mesh c729) |
Miranda
Miranda has always loved books and learned to read when she was only 4. As she got older, she read constantly and was always at the library looking for more books to read. It didn't surprise her parents in the least when she decided she wanted to be a librarian and that is what she is and she loves her work. She has been dating a college professor for the last 8 months and of course he teaches literature. They can talk for hours about different books and love to read the same one and then discuss it. I think that soon their story will have a happy ending. (Mesh c728) |
Estelle
Estelle is 26 years old and because her parents are quite wealthy, she doesn't have to work for a living. Her dad bought her a house and gives her a substantial monthly allowance to live on. Estelle is a wise woman and, instead of living wildly and wasting her dad's money, she uses it for good. She uses her time and talents to do volunteer work and gives generously to charities, and I must say her parents are very proud of her. She never lacks for male companions, but she has not met the one for her, as of yet. (Mesh c729) |
Marcy
Marcy wishes she could have stayed in college longer, but she dropped out and got a job to help support her mom and 2 younger sisters after her dad suddenly died. She did get a good position working in her uncle's insurance business and she can't complain about the wages, but it's not really what she wanted to do. She's hoping to return to college after her youngest sister graduates from high school and continue to pursue her dream of becoming a Paleontologist. (Mesh c720) |
Maris
Maris has always been very athletic and loved the out of doors. Her family would spend most of their vacations camping and hiking and she always had a great time. After college she got a job as a park ranger and loves it. She couldn't ask for a more perfect job. When she's not working she enjoys reading adventure novels and archery. (Mesh c753) |
Yvonne
Yvonne is 19 years old and recently finished her basic training in the WAVES. Her best friend talked her into joining with her and she has enjoyed it more than she thought she would. Although it was hard, she found the physical strain rewarding and she got into better shape than she'd ever been before. She wasn't sure what she wanted to do with her life and she's hoping that her term in the service will help her figure out just what she wants to do. (Mesh c734) |
