My
art is a celebration of humanity.
A person looking at a portrait should be able to read the subjects personality without ever having met them. My job as an artist is to catch that moment when the sitter
shows their inner self. Whenever possible, I like to work from
a live model, especially in the sitter's own home, as I can tell a quite a bit about the person by reading their body language and talking with them - but a good candid snapshot can also reveal the inner person.
I love painting portraits, because .....to me, all of you are beautiful!
