FROM NOVEMBER 1975 UNTIL THE WAR OFFICIALLY ENDED IN MARCH 1980 I SERVED WITH THE GUARD FORCE AND SUFFERED THE BRUNT OF MANY CIVILIAN BAR-ROOMS JOKES BECAUSE OF OUR LOWLY STATUS AS RHODESIA'S 4th FORCE (AFTER THE BSAP, ARMY & AIR FORCE).
STILL, WE DID OUR JOB WITH A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF PRIDE!
