Snooty projects
Be gentle with me, I'm still learning!

Spiral twist

This is my spiral twist, which took me about 3 hours.  I'm not happy with the way I joined the thread.  I think in future I'll leave a tail and work it in later, instead of threading it back through the beads before starting a new thread.  The problem was that I couldn't find where to pick up the spiral again with the new thread!

I have no idea what size the beads are! I think the blue greasy ones are 11/0 - the iridescent beads lost their iridescence in the photo.

Spiral twist - completed bracelet!

This is my second spiral, which actually got finished this time! I'm not sure how long it took, I did it whilst watching TV over a couple of days.  Again, I'm not happy with it.  I was, when I first finished it, but after one wearing it seems stretched and has flat spots.   I must admit that dear little Ciel found it a most amusing toy, but I really would like to make jewelry that will stand up to mistreatment by little tykes!

I used 8/0 transparent Amethyst Dyna-Mites and 11/0 Iris Dark Amethyst Matte on Nymo.

The infamous Lakers Worm bracelet!

Two rows of fringe worked over 6-row ndebele stitch, I think this is my favorite project to date!

I thought the amethyst and gold colors would look Egyptian, but when I finished it seemed more suited to a Lakers fan - what do you think?

I used 8/0 transparent Amethyst Dyna-Mites and 11/0 gold colored (I have no idea of the "real" name) with Indian silver "seed perles" on Nymo.  The clasp is made from two Indian amethyst lampworked beads.
