Step One:
I have purchased miniature pealed carrots. This eliminates a few steps in the process. Pre-sliced carrots can also be used. However, these still need to be cut into smaller bits.

Step Two:
I can cut with a small knife through solid carrots. If this is difficult do not apply pressure. Instead, steam the carrots a bit, then it will be easier. Cut into small square-like long pieces.
