Birthday

About this texts: I wrote a text to a friend's birthday. Of course, there was a unicorn in it. So, I rewrote it, in English (the one I gifted was written in Portuguese), as a homage to her.

The Night, still, ignores the speeches of millions,
enclosed in their little castles, unaware of their
neighbours, strangers. But it listens, carefully, to
the thoughts of the Dreamer, who weaves its reveries
in glittering stars.

"Is there anyone else out there, among the countless
suns, gazing to a different sky, with the same desires
and ideas? Is there any meaning to all this madness that
engulfed our world?"

Lulled by the whispers of nocturnal pixies, the Dreamer
falls asleep. And thus no one sees, because today no one
looks to the firmament with the right eyes, when the
stars proclaim their answers with a frantical dance of
lights and colours.

"Yes, we are here, you are not alone. And there will
come a day, the Birthday of the Universe, that will be
yours, too, when we shall join our dreams, only to find
out that we never left the Paradise, we just fell in a
deep sleep of self-reflection."

The Dreamer smiles in its sleep, because it knows, even
not having heard them, the answers to its questions.
And the strangers pass by, unconcerned, 'cause long ago
they had lost their ability to see unicorns...

by and from Cyberknight to a friend.
