Wonderful Town, based on the play My Sister Eileen, is a fun-hearted musical about the adventures and misadventures of two wide-eyed sisters from Ohio who have rented a tiny basement studio in Greenwich Village, New York.

Wonderful Town
Ruth, an aspiring writer, is of average appearance and can't keep a man's attention - no matter what! (The tune 100 Easy Ways to Lose a Man is a show-stopper.) Eileen, a fledgling actress, is Ruth's opposite. She is a wonderful singer/performer and has men constantly falling at her feet.

Set in the 1930s, this comedic musical (complete with live musicians and colorful costumes and set) includes the memorable ballads: It's Love and nostalgic lament Ohio, as well as the toe-tappin' ensemble numbers: Swing, Conga!, and The Wrong Note Rag. Wonderful Town's Broadway debut garnished a multitude of Tony's, including Best Musical, Composer (Leonard Bernstein) and Actress (Rosalind Russell).

We hope to see in the Amy Potter Center this May!
