I’m not sure if you remember me, I wrote to you over a year ago after I had my first story published at SV. You were then, and still are one of my favorite authors. I finally got some time to read your story at SensualVenus.com, "13 Bitchin' Days of Christmas." You're really skilled with emotional writing. It started out so depressing, *I* felt sad! Which, I think, is the idea when one writes, to affect the reader. I liked the loss of control Cass experienced; I seem to like reading about strong women who either lose control or give it up, especially in sexual situations. I'm reading such a book now. Anyway, I like a happy ending in romance and erotica, so I was glad Cass found love.
I also like how you write dialog, without a lot of "he said," "she mumbled," etc. It's been mentioned on the Parlor or Writing lists before, and it's something I want to work on. I'm used to the way I was taught in school, to add those descriptive phrases, but I prefer showing emotion and speech patterns within paragraphs, but not directly attached to the dialog. It seems to slow me down, and I think I'd write freer if I just spilled the dialog straight from my mind.
I wish you continued success in your writing and in your romantic ventures this year!
