Anne
The season three premiere started off with Buffy using the name "Anne", which happens to be her middle name, and working as a waitress in a sleazy coffee shop in a rundown city(closely resembling downtown Los Angeles. She gets involved with Lily, a homeless girl who was once a member of the Sunset Club, a group of deluded young people who yearned to become vampires in the second season episode "Lie to Me". This time Lily has attached herself to a seemingly kindly man named Ken who is in reality a demon out to make mindless slaves of all the homeless people. In trying to save Lily, Buffy gets her identity established once again and demolishes Ken and his small army of demons.
In this episode, we see the continuation from "Becoming Part 2", in which it ends as Buffy leaving Sunnydale on a bus. Buffy spends the whole summer away from her friends and family as she tries to sort out things in her very complicated life. She returns home at the end of the episode, clinging on to her mother with a hug, and returning to Giles and her friends.
