Nick let go of Cassandra, told her that he would be right back and went over and whispered to Brian. "Brian, I had an awful thought!"
"What is it? You actually had a thought?" said Brian.
"Seriously, Brian."
"Sorry, man. Hey, what is it?"
"Yeah, tell me too!" said Mercedes.
"Well, when Isabella said that whole thing about not being his technical girlfriend? Well Cassandra's not my technical girlfriend either."
"You know when she asked you why you couldn't talk like A.J.?" said Mercedes. Nick nodded. "Well, why don't you write her a note telling her everything that you've wanted to say, and then asking her to be your girlfriend. Make it incredibly romantic and passionate, not like you wouldn't anyway! Give it to me, and I'll leave it in her room." He agreed that it would be a good plan.
"Both of you come over in about twenty minutes and proof read it, would you?"
"Sure," said Mercedes and Brian.
"Hey Cassandra," Nick said.
"Yeah?"
"I have to go but I'll hopefully see you tomorrow," he said and kissed her on the cheek.
"Okay, bye," she said and went over to Brian and Mercedes. "Where'd he have to go?" she asked them. They smiled to themselves, and Mercedes said,
"I don't know, I think that he had to go next door."
"Oh, whatever," said Cassandra and she walked away. Mercedes and Brian laughed to each other.
Back at the other house, Nick was already writing the letter.
"Nothing sounds right!" he said to himself an crumpled up yet another piece of paper. "Okay, just write everything that you have wanted to say to her. Everything you've ever felt for her. Everything," and he started to write.
About twenty minutes later, Mercedes and Brian walked in.
"Are you done yet?" asked Brian.
"As a matter of fact, I just finished." Mercedes went over and looked at the note first. When she was done, she looked up with a look of stun in her eyes. "Is it okay?" he asked her.
"Is it okay? It's way better than okay! Nick this is awesome!" Then she looked at Brian. "Here read this. Take notes." Brian read the note.
"Yes, it is wonderful! And what do you mean take notes?" asked Brian. Mercedes laughed. The three of them walked back over to her house, Mercedes holding the note in her hands, and trying to hide it.
"I'll take it upstairs now," said Mercedes. Nick and Brian only nodded.
"Where'd you guys come from?" asked Nicole.
"Oh, nowhere," said Nick.
"Okay, you guys, whatever," said Nicole.
"Well?" asked Isabella.
"I guess it's true," said A.J.
"Oh," said Isabella.
"Well then," said A.J. He got down on one knee and took her hands. "Would you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?"
"Of course I would!" screamed Isabella. He stood up and she hugged him tight.
That night, after the guys had gone back home, and the commotion in the girls house had gone down, they all decided to go to bed early. As Cassandra and Mercedes headed upstairs, Mercedes could only help but smile to herself. They both entered their room, and Cassandra headed right to her bed.
"Hey Cassandra, will you get me one of the chapsticks on the dresser?" Mercedes asked her.
"Sure," Cassandra said, and she got up and went over to the dresser. "What's this?" she said.
"What is it?" said Mercedes.
"It's a letter."
"Open it!" she squealed.
"Okay, okay. You act like you know something."
"No, no, I know nothing."
"That's what I thought." Cassandra took the letter and sat down on her bed. "It smells good," she commented. Mercedes thought,
"It does, with a little help from me!" She read the note.
Dear Cassandra,
These words do not come easily though I know I had to write them down. You must know what you mean to me. I guess then I'll just start at the beginning, and keep writing and hope that you now understand.
Something about the way you move that caught my eye, I really did have to try it, I can't deny it. I love you, how can I fight it? Let me be the one to hold you, to give you the things I know that you need. We could wait another lifetime, but we could never find a love just like this. Let's take this chance to get to know each other better, even though I feel like I know everything about you, maybe we could discover we could be more than lovers. I'll give you what you need just come to me and get it, you won't regret it. I want to feel your body next to mine. I hope that we can find what we're both looking for. (Good loving and a whole lot more) Hold me and don't let go, not until I tell you to, which would be never.
With everything you are going through, and will be going through, I'll be there for you has I have been before. These five words I swear to you. You don't need to worry about anything, I'll be the cure for your loneliness, and I'll make you feel like you're whole again. You can always count on me wherever I may be. When your problems have you feeling bad, call on me and I'll run to you. When you breathe, I want to be the air for you. I'll be the water when you get thirsty, when you get drunk, I'll be the wine. I'd live and I'd die for you, I'd even steal the sun from the sky for you. Words on this paper can't say what my love can do.
As we talk about all of the things that I long to believe about love and truth, which you could help me change my mind on. But the truth is, you're all that I need. I wish I could be with you right now and every night, to see you on your bed of roses, because I sleep on a bed of nails without you. I'm going to light your fire and feel your flame. I just have to close my eyes and whisper, Cassandra, my love is true. I'm going to be your lover, I'm going to be your friend, I'm going to be there until the end.
Now as you close your eyes, know I'll be thinking about you. I've got so much to give, if you'd only let me in. After reading all of this, I hope that you will be my 'official' girlfriend. So how about it? Will you? One more question. Wherever you go I want to go too, if you don't have anything better to do, I want to spend more time together, so what are you doing between now and forever?

She read the note with tears streaming down her face.
"Oh my God," she said, "it's so beautiful."
"Well, what are you going to say?" asked Mercedes. Cassandra got up out of her bed and went down the stairs.
In the other house, Nick was pacing. "She's definately got it by now!" he said.
"Hey, calm down. That was one of the best notes that I've ever read! She'll definately love it," said Brian.
"Whatcha guys talking about?" asked A.J.
"Nick wrote Cassandra a romantic love letter asking her to be his girlfriend," said Brian.
"Cool. I wonder what she thinks of it."
"Yeah, so do I."
"Hey Cassandra! Where are you going?" asked Nicole.
"Nowhere," she said as she walked out the door. Mercedes stopped the rest of them from following her.
"She needs some time alone with Nick."
"Oh," they all said.
Cassandra went over to the guys house, and knocked lightly on the door. Brian answered it.
"Oh hey Brian. Is Nick around?" she said softly.
"Yeah, hold on a sec. I'll go get him," he said and went to go get Nick. Nick came out of the door, and Brian shut it behind him. Cassandra was still holding the note in her hand.
"I loved your note," she said in such a quiet voice that even Nick could barely hear her. "I can't believe that you can write like that! It's just so incredible, that you or anyone could or would be writing that to me." She stopped and looked at the ground for a second. "I love you with all of my heart."
"As do I," he said. She started to cry a little and he brushed the tears from her eyes lightly with his finger tips.
"I would love to be your girlfriend," she said to him. She gazed into his deep blue eyes, tears welling up inside of her. She picked up his right hand and gently kissed the top of it twice. "How's your hand?" she asked him.
"It just got a whole lot better," he said. She let go of his hand, and watched it as it dropped to his side, then raised and touched the side of her face. She closed her eyes and swallowed hard. When she opened her eyes a second later, he was standing behind her, his hands holding her shoulders.
"Isn't it a beautiful sunset?" she asked him.
"Yeah, it reminds me of you," he said and slid his hands down her arms and locked them in with her hands. He moved the strap of her tank top and passionately kissed all along her shoulder until he reached the side of her neck, and he kissed that, too. He let go of her hands and slid them around her stomach, and rested his chin on her shoulder. She tilted her head to rest on his, and wrapped her arms around his arms that were holding her.
There they stood for a few minutes just watching the sunset together. Not letting go of her, he moved his body around so he could face her. They gazed into each other's eyes, and embraced the moment before them. Cassandra could feel Nick pulling her closer and closer to him, using the strong arms that held her. He kept one hand around her waist, and put the other up to her face. She took her finger tips and stroked them through his soft, silky hair. They slowly drew their faces nearer to each other, and closed their eyes.
Their lips timidly met, then pulled away. When they were sure of each other, their lips went back and met again, solidly this time. They opened their mouths and their tongues gradually met each other, increasingly getting familiar with the territory that seemed like they were exploring for the first time. She took both of her hands and put them around his neck, while his hand left her face and joined his other one back around her waist.
They both forced their tongues to depart and return back. As their lips slowly withdrew from each other, Cassandra could feel her heart pounding from within her body. She moved her arms up more around his neck and laid her head down on his chest. He put his head down on hers, feeling the tiny body that he was holding. Feeling every breath she took, thinking that it was now, all his. He owned her now, to protect her, it was almost overwhelming. She could hear and feel his heart pounding also, which made her feel even closer to him. Their first real kiss as boyfriend and girlfriend, they were now one.
