The next morning when Emalia awoke, she found herself naked, and in Nathan's bed. She turned over and saw Nathan looking at her, smiling.
"Good morning," he said.
"Um," was all she could say.
"Wow, you're good!"
"What the hell are you talking about? Dare I ask why I'm naked?"
"Last night!" he said.
"Where's my boyfriend?" she demanded.
"I am your boyfriend."
"No you're not!" she screamed.
Nathan thought to himself. "Oh no! I hope that she doesn't remember!"
"We didn't-" said Emalia. Nathan only nodded his head. Emalia flew out of the bed and threw her clothes on. "Eew! Eew! Sick! Sick!
"What?" he asked.
"You! Oh, uh, sick! I feel so violated! That's just so sick!" She ran out of the house, and headed back towards her house, running as fast as she could. Nathan shrugged.
"You can't please everyone! Oh well, I tried!"
Andrew went up to Cassandra who was sitting on the couch.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"You know what's wrong. I miss Nick, but I have to move on, for my sake and his. You know, Bobby seemed pretty sincere that one day. I think I might go talk to him."
"Now?"
"Yeah! Why not? It's just as good of time as ever, and I've got nothing to lose." Andrew shrugged and smiled. "I thought that you would try and stop me. Like tie me to a chair or threaten to kill me if I went near him."
"But why?"
"Because you despise Bobby! All you wanted was for me to get away from him and to be with Nick!"
Andrew hesitated with a response, then thought to himself. "Uh oh! Bobby didn't tell me that! Okay Andrew, calm down. Just think of something." He smiled an hugged her. "I only want what will make you happy."
"Andrew, that so doesn't sound like you! Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine. Now go! Go ahead, it'll be fine." Cassandra shrugged the turned and walked out the door. Andrew heaved a great sigh of relief, then pulled out his cell phone. "Hey.....yeah.....why didn't you tell me I didn't want her with you?....oh you forgot to tell me that she hated you.....I see.....anyway, she's on her way over right now.....yeah I'm serious.....well I guess so!......Bobby freak out!"
On her way over to Bobby's she stopped when her cell phone rang. She was a little timid to answer it, but she did.
"Hey Cassie!"
"Hey Linden. How'd you get this number?"
"You gave it to me. Oh my God, you're back!
"Yeah, I decided to."
"Anyway, how about you, Mercedes, Nicole, Isabella, Coreene, and Emalia all come up to my house for a couple of days. My sister, Angel, coming up today and I'd like you to meet her, and if you can pry Mercedes away from her husband for a couple of days."
"Yeah, that'd be great. What's the occasion?" Cassandra asked.
"I'm celebrating actually being single for about three months."
"Oh I'm sorry. Hey can I bring my sister up with me?"
"Didn't I ask you to bring Isabella with you?"
"Not that one."
"Then what sister?" Linden asked confused.
"The one that I went away for the three months to find, and I found Andrew too!"
"That's awesome!"
"Hey, can I celebrate with you?"
"Why? You are in a perfect couple! What happened?"
"Nick and I aren't Nick and I anymore."
"What? The perfect couple?"
"Yeah I guess. When I went to get my sister, it was at the expense of my relationship."
"I'm so sorry! I hate to do this, but I gotta go, but we'll talk when you guys get up here."
"Okay. I'll tell everyone. See ya then."
"Bye," said Linden.
"Tell everyone what?" said Emalia from behind her.
"Oh, you scared me!" said Cassandra. "Where'd you come from? I thought that you were at Nathan's house?"
"I was! Oh Cassandra, eew! I hate Nathan so much! Why was I at his house?"
"You remember me?"
"Of course I do!"
"Oh I have a lot to tell you, but I can't now. Linden just invited us all up to her house for a get away. Just us girls." She looked at Emalia to see if she remembered who Linden was.
"Oh cool! Well what are we waiting for? Let's go tell the others to start packing, and let's go as soon as possible!" Cassandra smiled, relieved that her friend was back. They both starting running towards the house, Cassandra forgetting that she was going to talk to Bobby. Andrew had already gone over to his house and didn't notice that Cassandra hadn't gone to talk to Bobby.
An hour later, Mercedes had told Brian that they were going and that they would be gone for a couple of days. They were all ready to go, and piled into Emalia's car.
"It's going to be a long and boring couple of days," Brian said to Kevin, watching the girls drive off.
"Why?" Kevin asked.
"The girls all went up to Linden's house, I guess for a girls couple of days out, or, uh, something like that."
"Damn! I finally get Emalia back, and she goes away again!"
On the way up there, Cassandra's phone rang again.
"Andrew?" she said.
"Yeah. Did you talk to him?"
"No. My phone rang when I was on my way there, then I ran into Emalia, and now we're in the car and on our way to Linden's."
Andrew thought to himself. "Damn! She was supposed to talk to Bobby! Well, her and Nick are so far apart, it's not even funny. Actually, it is funny!" He turned his thoughts back to Cassandra and said, "Well, are you gonna talk to him?"
"Maybe I'll call him later."
"Okay, see ya when you get back."
"Why is he so happy that I'm gonna talk to Bobby? He hates Bobby. What happened to him all of those months that he was gone?"
"Who was that?" asked Emalia.
"Oh that was just Andrew," said Cassandra.
"Andrew!" Emalia exclaimed. "And not to be rude, but you still haven't introduced me to this girl I'm sitting next to."
"We're almost to Linden's. When we get there, we'll explain everything, again, to you and Linden." Emalia agreed, and sat back in her seat and continued to drive.
When they arrived at Linden's house, they all grabbed their stuff and quickly let themselves into her house.
"Hey guys," said Linden greeting them.
"Hello, how are you going? Are you okay?" said Cassandra.
"Yeah, what about you?" Linden asked her.
"I'm still alive." Everyone else said their greetings and the six of them headed upstairs and decided which rooms they would stay in. They decided that since there were four rooms, that Isabella and Mariah, Cassandra and Mercedes, Nicole and Emalia would stay together in rooms, and Linden wouldn't have to share her room.
When they all had settled in their rooms and went back downstairs into the living room, Cassandra asked Linden, "So what happened?"
"I could ask you the same thing! Anyways, Trevor was being very mean and controlling, as usual, and I couldn't take it anymore. So I just said the hell with it, and kicked him out, and told him never to come back."
"So what are you going to do?" asked Isabella.
"Well I have had my eye on this one guy-"
"Who? Who! Tell me!" said Nicole.
"No one that you know. He is just a friend, for now."
"Sure, whatever," said Mercedes.
"Oh be quiet. So what happened to you and Nick?" Linden asked Cassandra.
"Um, well, it's a long story," said Cassandra.
"A very, long story!" said Isabella.
"Well, we've got time," said Linden.
"Yes and I'd like to know!" said Emalia.
"Okay then, here goes." Cassandra proceeded to tell them about how she wrote the note to Nick, how she went to L.A. to find her sister, and how she had a relationship with Andrew not knowing that it was him, and also about Emalia's amnesia.
"Well?" Cassandra asked.
"Wow, I missed a lot," said Linden.
"Speak for yourself! I've missed so much, too!" said Emalia. Just then the doorbell rang.
"That must be my sister!" Linden squeaked and jumped up to answer the door. "Angel!
"Hey sis!" said Angel.
"Come on in! This is Cassandra, Isabella, Emalia, Mercedes, Coreene, Nicole, and Mariah."
"Hi, nice to meet you!" they all said. They then decided that Angel would stay in Linden's room. She put her bags upstairs and then came back down to get better acquainted with everyone.
"So, Angel. Tell us about yourself," said Isabella.
"Well, I'm Linden's sister, I'm from L.A., California, currently single, and I'm sorry but why do you look so familiar?" she said to Cassandra.
"I don't know, but I get the feeling that you look strangely familiar, too." Angel pointed her finger at Cassandra and gasped.
"Antonia?"
"You're that Angel? Angel Theremin?"
"Antonia Spidero?" They both nodded their heads.
"Oh my God!" they both squealed and jumped up and hugged each other.
"So what's your name now?"
"Actually Antonia wasn't my real name. My real name is Cassandra Malvern. I just changed my name because I was looking for my sister, Mariah." She pointed to Mariah.
"Well, what about Jacob? You're boyfriend?" asked Angel.
"Well actually, Jacob is actually my best friend. I just didn't know it at the time because I thought that he was dead, but I guess that he isn't. Since we had both changed our names, and we both looked different, we didn't notice who we were."
"Will somebody please tell me what's going on?" said Linden.
"Oh sorry," said Cassandra. "Well, Angel and I were staying across from each other at the same hotel. We literally kept running into each other, so we got to know each other and we became close friends."
"Wow," was all anyone could say.
"That's pretty funky!" said Isabella.
"Yeah, it is!" said Mercedes.
Back at the guys house, Nick had just woken up, but Julie was still asleep. He looked over at her and at the hand that wore his ring. He got up and went into the bathroom. He turned the shower on as cold as it got, and got in. The coldness of the water didn't even faze him. He couldn't think, and everything was a blur. Nothing seemed like it was right.
Every time that he thought that he wanted to go back to Cassandra, all he could think about was the countless number of hours that he spent miserable over her, wondering why, and all of the numerous nights that he didn't sleep still trying to figure out why. He banged his head over and over again on the tiled shower wall trying to get his brain to stop racing, but nothing helped.
When he got out and went downstairs, Julie was already awake and wearing one of his t-shirts. He cringed at the sight of her wearing his forest green shirt.
"My favorite one," he mumbled.
"Good morning," she said cheerily to him and went over and kissed him on the cheek. "Hey Nick?"
"Yeah?" he said.
"I love you," she said to him, so confidently.
"I love you too," he said to her.
**Back at Linden's house**
At eight o'clock, they had finished eating and were all sitting on the beach just talking when Cassandra got up.
"Linden, can I use your phone?" she asked.
"Yeah, sure."
"Who are you gonna call?" Nicole asked Cassandra. Cassandra heard Nicole, but pretended not so hear her and kept walking inside. She knew they would object to her doing this, but there was nothing they could do when it was all over, so she didn't tell anyone.
"Am I doing the right thing?" she asked herself as she picked up the phone.
"Hello?"
"Andrew?"
"Cassandra?"
"What are you doing over Bobby's house?"
"I, uh, well-"
"I don't care. Is Bobby there?"
"Um, yeah. Hold on." Andrew covered the receiver the phone and smiled. "Hey Bobby, phone. It's Cassandra."
"You're kidding me, right?"
"Nope," Andrew said handing Bobby the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey Bobby."
"I wonder who she's talking to?" asked Mercedes to the group. They all shrugged and kept talking, basically about nothing.
Cassandra hung up the phone. She didn't know whether or not to be happy or in dismay about what she had just done. When she dragged herself out back on the beach, sat down next to Mariah, she smiled.
"Who did you call?" Coreene asked her.
"Bobby," said Cassandra.
"Bobby?" they all asked at the same time.
"Yup, and he's my boyfriend, again." They all stared at her in disbelief.
"Why?" asked Emalia.
"Don't you remember how sweet he used to be an how you guys used to love him? Emalia, when you had your amnesia, you even said how sweet he was, and asked me why I would ever break up with him. Well, he's like that again. He was only a jerk because I broke it off."
"What about Nick?" Linden asked her.
"Who?"
Nick burst through the door of his house.
"Where's Cassandra?" he demanded.
"Why? She's gone," said Brian.
"Brian that's so not funny! Again?"
"Oh no! She's just up at Linden's house with the rest of the girls."
"Oh. I need to talk to her!"
"Is that the ring?" Kevin asked Nick pointing to the opal ring on his gold chain. He nodded his head.
"I need to get up there! I need to give her this!" Nick said referring to the ring. "Please you guys! I broke up with Julie."
"I'll take you up there. I know the way pretty well." They both ran out of the house and jumped into Howie's car.
"Can't we go any faster?" Nick asked impatiently.
"Sorry!" said Howie sarcastically.
It was now about nine o'clock when Cassandra got up again.
"Now where are you going?" Isabella asked her.
"To bed. I'm really tired."
"Then I'll come with you so I don't wake you up later," said Mercedes. They all walked inside and Cassandra and Mercedes went upstairs. Linden had gone into the kitchen to get everyone drinks and just as she was walking back into room, Nick and Howie burst through the door.
"Where's Cassandra?" Nick demanded again.
"Nick!" Isabella exclaimed. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to talk to Cassandra. I need to give her something."
"She's upstairs, but you're too late," said Nicole.
"What do mean?" he asked.
"She made up with Bobby an hour ago!" Just then Cassandra walked downstairs.
"What?" he asked.
"Nick!" Cassandra whispered. "What are you doing here?"
"Cassandra-" They both went near each other, not daring to get too close. "Bobby huh?" She nodded her head trying not to cry. He brought his hands up to the back of his neck, unclipped his gold chain, and let the ring fall into his hand. A tear ran down his face. She wiped it away, but was surprised. She had never seen him cry before.
As she touched his face, he grabbed her hand and placed the ring on her finger. She looked down at it and took it off and put it back in his hand.
"I can't. Bobby-" She turned and ran upstairs. Howie went over to Angel.
"Hey, I've never seen you before."
"Yeah I'm Linden's sister, Angel."
"Hey, I'm Howie."
"Nice to meet you."
Nick couldn't believe it.
"What just happened?" he asked.
"I told you. Her and Bobby are back together!" said Nicole.
"I can't believe it. How could this happen?" he said slumping on the couch.
Mercedes who had just come downstairs to see what was happening, said, "Can't believe what? She had to watch you and Julie! She even gave Julie her ring!" Nick had nothing to say to that.
"I think we should go," Nick said.
"All right. Can Angel come with us?" asked Howie.
"I don't care." The three of them went out Linden's door and back into Howie's car.
"Okay then. My sister just left," said Linden.
"I'll see if she's okay," said Mercedes.
"I think that we should all go to bed," said Isabella.
The next morning, Cassandra wanted to head back to the house and the rest of them agreed that it was good idea, and that they would take Linden back with them. They took Emalia and Linden's car back.
When they got back, Cassandra threw her stuff in the door and walked right back out, passing Nick on the way.
"Hey, where are you going?" Isabella called after her
"I'm going to see Bobby!" she said and ran off. Nick decided that it wasn't the best time to be there, so he turned to head back to his house. He stopped when Isabella and A.J. stopped him.
"Don't give up on her. You were the only thing keeping her from Bobby. She still likes Bobby, but I know that she still loves you. I think that when she figured that you were really gone from her life, she discovered the feelings that she still had left over from Bobby," said Isabella.
"So what does that mean?" asked Nick.
"It simply means that you should go after her, if I have to drag you over there myself!" said A.J.
"Why should I?"
"Why not?" asked Isabella.
"Because here they come now." Isabella turned to see Bobby literally dragging Cassandra by the hand down the sidewalk.
"Where are you guys going?" Isabella asked them.
"The movies," Cassandra said. "Wanna come?"
"No, they can't," said Bobby. As he walked passed Nick, he whispered, "Now I've won." Nick knew that he couldn't say or do anything, so he just stood there, watching them walk away. Then he looked at the ring in his hand. Isabella noticed him doing this and said,
"Go!" She pushed him right into Bobby.
"What the hell is your problem?" he yelled to Nick.
"Bobby don't-" started Cassandra.
"Shut up!" he yelled to her. She backed away.
"Don't talk to her like that!" Nick yelled.
"I'll talk whatever way I want to my girlfriend!"
"Oh yeah?" Nick challenged.
"Yeah!" Bobby retorted. Nick went over to Cassandra and grabbed her hand. He put the ring on her finger once again and said,
"Don't you ever take this off."
"You take it off!" yelled Bobby. Cassandra hesitated with a response. She looked at Bobby, then at Nick, then back to Bobby.
