Chad Van Allen(10) and Amber Hestand(9)

Chad and Amber began dancing together as a couple on February-10-1998.
Amber agreed to be Chad's partner for the CWDI "Old Pueblo Country Dance Competition" on March 14 & 15-98 in Tucson, Arizona.

Amber filled in for Savanah Gilmore who fell and broke her Tibia and was in a full leg cast and unable to dance. Chad and Amber had about one month to prepare for the competition.

Chad and Amber competeted in the

  • Progressive Two-Step (2nd Place)
  • Waltz (2nd Place)
  • Pony Swing (1st Place) Earning Second Overall...In the Jr. Youth Couples Division

  • Savanah...Chad...Amber...

    Amber Hestand is also a member of the "Desert Thunder" Competition Team. Amber began dancing with the Desert Dancers in November of 1995.
