Keynote:
Cody Williams

On January 3, 1994, Mr. Willams was sworn into the office of City of Phoenix Councilmember, and was re-elected in September 1987. Mr. Williams is the second City Council member to serve District 8,  an area which encompasses approximately 150,000 residents, downtown Phoenix, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, historical districts and a majority of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. He serves on a number of City Council subcommittees.

CODY WILLIAMS

Proclamation by Arizona Governor Jane D. Hull presented.

The following notes were recorded during Mr. Williams keynote speech.

"You are all very special."

"Ahwatukee is a code word to get people to return to Phoenix. I welcome you to Ahwatukee . . . in Phoenix."

"I too have a CTM."

Dreamship 2000 Theme:

We are caught up in the millenium concept a period of a 1000 years.

We have used the millenium as an excuse for everything we need to do.

But is anything really going to change?

It’s a mind set.

Dreams are a number of things. If you are dreaming, you are not living.

We have the ability to manipulate our dreams.

Martin Luther King challenged us to "Live our Dream"

When you talk about your dreams today, they can be tomorrow’s reality.

In the 1500’s Libraries were carried on Tablets

Now, centuries later, information is carried on a computer (Shows Palm Pilot).

Even this is not sufficient to "right the ship."

Think about the person who would rather leave a message on voicemail rather than talk to someone personally.

Fax material rather than shake a man’s hand.

Technology is not going to solve our problems if we loose the ability to communicate truly between ourselves.

I believe that anyone’s dreams can be reality. (Quoted Revelations) 1000 year period where the devil is locked away.

I hope you will continue to do a special work. I hope this weekend will help to produce special outcomes.

Mr Williams was presented a Certificate of Appreciation and a conference gift.
