Our Keynoter for the Spring 2000 Conference will be Joel Weldon  Joel is a member of CHATS Toastmasters and within the last month was instrumental in chartering a Toastmaster club at the National Speakers Association. 

Joel joined Toastmasters in 1969 to conquer his fear of speaking, and conquer it he did!  When the American Society for Training & Development wanted a program for its Annual Conference on how to give better presentations, they called on Joel Weldon.  When the National Speakers Association wanted to show its members what professional speaking was, it chose Joel Weldon, and he delivered the highest rated program in the Association's ten-year history.

A charter member of the 4,000 member National Speakers Association, Joel is one of the elite group to have earned the distinguished CPAE Speakers Hall of Fame designation, reserved for only the most outstanding communicators.  In 1981 he was the recipient of the coveted Communication & Leadership Award, and in 1989 he was selected to receive the highest honor in the speaking profession, The Golden Gavel.
