Leadership in Action - June 15, 2000

We're #11 and can be Distinguished

by Kelli McDoulett, DTM, District 3 Governor

At Saturday's TLI session I mentioned that Toastmasters International has estimated that District 3 will be the 11th highest ranked District on the Distinguished District Plan. We are on track to make it to #11 and this will also be the third year in a row. An honor that District 3 has not received for many years.

To be #11 in the world we need your help. There is just one more stretch and we can do it. Less than one new member per club will reach our membership goal. But don't stop there. Go for 5 new members and receive the "Beat the Clock" awards from both Toastmasters International and District 3. Plus, we have a District 3 "Kelli-Girl" membership campaign going on for the Toastmaster who sponsors the most new members from May 1 - June 30 (minimum of 5). For more information visit the District 3 Brief e-news update at: https://www.angelfire.com/az/D3tmLeadership/NewsJuneIndex.html

Congratulations President's Distinguished Clubs>... A special congratulations to...

Dobson Ranch (the first to make President's Distinguished)
Papago (the first to reach all 10 Distinguished Club Plan - DCP - goals). Way to go!!!!

On May 31, we had 32 Distinguished clubs!!!! And another 28 with just the membership requirement to meet. Go District 3!!! I look forward to presenting each of you with your Distinguished Club goal awards at the Fall Conference in Tucson. Keep moving forward with your goals and make this the best Toastmasters year ever : - ) !!! Reach for that next level of Distinguished status. You still have time.

    Attention!!! Attention!!!! New Member Update!!!!

Down to Earth - brought in 1 new member last week. Keep going Down to Earth!!!

Please let me know when you bring in a new member. I am doing a countdown to that last member and will be recognizing every other day clubs who bring in new members. (If you also have the name of the new member and their sponsor, please let me know who they are and they will also be recognized)

To count towards your DCP - the member MUST be New, Dual or Reinstated. Transfer members DO NOT count towards your DCP credit.

Thank you for making this my best Toastmaster year ever. Distinguished all the Way!!!!
