Many people have started going to the ladder instead of going to regular tourneys. In order to support us hosts that have taken out a lot of time in order for people to have a place to play; people need to show up for tourneys--ON TIME! This does not mean that you can't play on the ladder pages, but if you want US to be here, YOU need to be here too. Thanks!
Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages-to Danaelia's GammonCircus!! Where Gammon and Fun rule the day! Your ringmasters will be Danae and Aelia...so sit back, relax and enjoy!
For now, we will have the same rules as the standard double elimination tournaments.
1. NEW RULE!!!!!!!!! Since many of you don't remember this from other sites, we are having to spell it out! DO NOT IM THE HOST WITHOUT PERMISSION!!!!
2. If you arive before the end of the first round (as in before the end of the first game), and are the "odd man out" you will receive a bye; if you arrive after that, you may join with a loss. Sorry, noone new may join in after the start of round two.
3. Booting: if you boot during a game that has just started, then you can come back and start over. We do not condone the practice of self booting to avoid a loss. So, if the game was decidely leaning one way, then we will count on the honesty and sportmanship of the players. If, after a few tournaments, we find that honesty does not prevail, then this will become a no boot room. If you boot twice in a game, you lose that round and if you boot again, you will be out of the tournament until next time.
And as on any site, THE HOSTS HAVE THE LAST WORD. Be honest, play fair, and everyone will have a great time!!
4. Also, you may not give someone your 'win'...if the game is over and has been checked by a host, the stats stand.
5. Please turn off the visuals and sound in the games, so that lag is lowered as well as time cut down.
5. The game setters are the only ones that will be answered when calling for a host.
7. People will have 5 minutes to answer the host...after that it will be applied as a boot.
8. Byes: byes are given at the discretion of the hosts. They are not a RIGHT! Unless it is TOTALLY unavoidable, we will not be giving byes to undefeated players. The general guideline is to give byes to players that went undefeated the longest. Just so you know, yelling at the host, iming the host without permission, or insulting the host does NOT HELP YOU GET A BYE! Keep in mind that HOSTS ALWAYS HAVE THE LAST WORD!
This is a family site....with fun for all ages, so please refrain from nude avs and off color gestures and language! Also, if you use scrolling or room busting gestures, you will be asked to leave. There will be NO FIGHTING...if you have a disagreement, either take it to ims or leave! And do NOT IM the host about it!!!!
