Well, I've got some exciting news to tell everyone in the world! Just last April my business Nutrition For Life International was having a writing contest on how a book has influenced you in your life/business. Well I decided to write an essay and submit it. I had read "How to Win Friends and Influence People", a truly amazing book. Well, I sent in my story of how it has helped me in life and in the business. Not thinking anything of it, the entire entry slipped by the wayside...until October 15th! Late wednesday night my wife and I were pulled out of a church youth night by my Father and Mother in-Laws. They had grins from ear to ear. At first I thought something was wrong, but then they told me. My entry had been chosen as the WINNER!

I just never thought that in all my wildest dreams that I would ever win a

Today I would like to introduce an individual to you. The person whom I am describing is a real person. This person was once a shy person who felt self conscious in front of other people. This person used to never speak up or take charge of situations. This person sat around for 7 months waiting for someone in his upline to do something. Well, I am sad to admit it, but this person was myself as of a few months ago. I was not motivated to go out and meet new people, to prospect, or to try to build my business the way that I should have.
Well, I put the power of reading to the test and have come up a winner. I have recently finished reading How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie and have been trying to use these principles on those I meet and the people that I am contacting over the phone.
Well, let me tell you a story. Last November during the promotion to receive 50 hot leads when you signed up a few executives, my upline sponsor got 50+ names of hot leads. I was given approximately 20 names to work. After countless hours on the phone, I sponsored no one. These 20 names sat there for four months, turning the previously hot leads into ice cold ones.
After reading Dale Carnegie's book, I felt confident enough to give it another try. I called back every single one of those hot leads, and an amazing thing happened...they were more interested in ever.
The opportunity had not changed, but I had, and so
had my approach to befriend them over the phone. Well, needless to say,
once success was achieved within my mind, it was only a matter of time before
the success of my business would catch up to where I was at mentally. From
this resurgent effort, I was able to sponsor both distributors and executives
within my group so that I am currently working with groups in South Carolina,
Florida, and Tennessee. I have been so pleased with the results, I can't
wait to see how my next month's summary sheet will turn out. From this
successful experience, we have gone on to order more Hot Leads and are
sponsoring executives and distributors at about a 40% success rate. I am
totally committed to the Hot Lead program and know that it truly does work.
My goal is to become a platinum executive before the end of the year.
At the rate I am going, I will probably make it sooner! I am so excited
about the program and am grateful for the wonderfully motivating books
that are enclosed in the Master Developer Series. I truly am grateful for
the opportunity that I had to read and study How To Win Friends And Influence
People. This book has changed my life and my business forever. I can't
