Getting to know you...
This looks exactly like me, you have no idea ;o)
All right, all right, I know the title is cheesy, but I'm a cheesy person. There you go, that's the first thing you get to know about me. Here are the rest:
Name: Caitlin
Age: 16
Height: Five feet, eight inches
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color: Light brownish, reddish, blondish
Home Town: Albany, New York ("The All - America City" - betcha didn't know that)
Interests: tennis, skiing, playing the piano, Tae Bo, reading (I know - boring, right?) and listening to music.
Music I like: Right now I'm into ska, especially funky jazzy bluesy ska. I also like alternative, classic rock, and Broadway musicals (interesting combination, I know).
Favorite Song: Unsent, by Alanis Morissette.
Future Plans: Well, pretty soon I'll be going off to college (I really don't know where). Right now, I'm leaning toward engineering as a career, but I also may be a writer, a psychologist, a director, or a politician (don't laugh ;o)
Favorite TV Shows: The X-Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Felicity, Dawson's Creek, Friends, and ER.
Favorite Book (thus far): Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.
Favorite Quotes: "The surface of the earth is soft and impressible by the feet of men; and so with the paths which the mind travels. How worn and dusty, then, must be the highways of the world, how deep the ruts of tradition and conformity! I did not wish to take a cabin passage, but rather to go before the mast and on the deck of the world, for there I could best see the moonlight amid the mountains. I do not wish to go below now." ~Henry David Thoreau
And, "Remember, no man is a failure who has friends. Thanks for the wings..." ~ from It's a Wonderful Life
Also, "Dreams can be deceiving, like faces are to hearts, but they serve for sweet relieving when reality and fantasy lie too far apart." ~Fiona Apple
Favorite Movies: I love School Ties, I think Good Will Hunting is a masterpiece, and my newest favorite is Shakespeare in Love (go see this movie!!!).
My Dislikes: meat (yuppers, I'm a vegetarian), and conformity ~ in the words of Emerson, "Imitation is suicide."
Well, thanks for coming! I also have a homepage if you'd like to stop by...
Now there are people in the world who know a little something about me.
