TRUTH: Absolutely true!
RUMOR: The band's agent picked the name Spice Girls.
TRUTH: False. Geri came up with the name Spice Girls during an exercise class with Mel C.
RUMOR: The Spice Girls turned down an offer from Disney to record on the Hercules soundtrack.
TRUTH: True. The girls were too busy preparing for their movie and they didn't want that to interfere with the movie.
RUMOR: The girls will be changing their entire look after their SPICEWORLD movie is released.
TRUTH: The girls will always be changing their look, but you can bet they will always look funky.
RUMOR: Victoria may be leaving the group.
TRUTH: Yeah right!
RUMOR: They had a big problem coming up with the name SPICEWORLD for the group's debut movie.
TRUTH: Okay, this one is 100% true- it took the producers seven working titles including Simply Spice Girls and Spice The Movie to finally come up with the more clever SPICEWORLD.
RUMOR: The girls hope to do some Elvis Presley covers in the future.
TRUTH: The girls love Elvis (especially Mel C) but there is no truth to the fact that they will be covering any Elvis songs soon. They recently befriended Elton John, so it's more likely that they'll be covering one of his songs.
RUMORS: Mel B is really mean offstage and hates to sign autographs.
TRUTH: While Mel B sometimes tires after signing hundreds of autographs in one day, she is never mean. Mel just speaks her mind whenever she wants-a true follower of Girl Power.
