Four times a year Toastmasters gather for a'mailing party'.
The'mailing'is of District Ts quarterly newsletter; The Roadrunner (like the one you are now reading). The 'party' is a fun time of Toastmaster fellowship as members affix address labels, insert flyers, and perform premailing activities while helping themselves to an enjoyable selection of refreshments.
When the party is over, the bundled copies are delivered to the Phoenix Bulk Mail facility on East Van Buren.

And that is the process by which the Roadrunner arrives at your home or business.
The mailing party is rotated among the valley's five Divisions.
This past year the mailing was accomplished by Jodie Kay's Metro Division, The Eastern Division, lead by Dee Dees, and the Central Division, lead by Jo Ellis.
This issue was prepared for mailing by members of the Downtown Division under the leadership of Division Lt. Governor Mike DiCerbo, DTM, on March 17 ' following the District 3 Executive Council meeting.

WITH THE SPEAKERS BUREAU

The Toastmasters Speakers Bureau helped Vista Verde Middle School celebrate Young Authors Day, February 16 & 17, with participating Toastmasters taking over 7th and 8th grade English, Spanish, and Science class.

Subjects ranged from bicycles, motorcycles and creativeness, to speaking body language and illiteracy-
Toastmasters who conducted the regular 45 minute class sessions covering seven class periods from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. were: Marie Abram, Michael Cantor, George Dunn, Grace Johnson, Julie Kimball, Mike Mastrovito, Sal Salazar, Mark Colbert, Tom Cox, H. Wayne Dellinger, Phil Ellsworth, Duane Jones, Chuck King, Allan Meschew, Joanne Schlosser, and Ann Aycock, 

Vista Verde School Librarian who conducted the event, was so pleased she requested that we participate in the program again next year.
